What the Golden Bridge Actually Is
The bridge is not a standalone attraction. It sits inside Sun World Ba Na Hills, a large hilltop resort run by Sun Group, and the only way in is the cable car from the base station.
There is no road to the bridge, no hiking trail, and no back entrance. You buy a park ticket, ride up, and walk about 10 minutes from the top station through the French Village.
The two hands look centuries old but were built in 2018 from steel frame, wire mesh, mortar and fibreglass, then painted to look weathered. The design brief described them as the hands of a mountain deity holding a strip of gold. At this elevation cloud often sits right at deck level, which is why so many photos show the walkway floating in mist.
The cable car deserves more attention than it usually gets. The Timing Problem
Coach groups from Da Nang and Hoi An finish the drive at roughly the same time, which is why the park has a very sharp arrival curve. The heavy wave lands between 9am and 10.30am. That is when the cable car queue is longest, the bridge is at its most crowded, and the light is at its flattest.

Sun World runs two price tiers, which almost no English-language guide mentions.
Visitors from outside Da Nang: 1,000,000 VND adult, 800,000 VND for children 1m to 1.4m and visitors over 70.
Da Nang residents: 650,000 VND adult, 550,000 VND child or senior, with proof of residence.
Children under 1m go free. Anyone over 1.4m pays the adult rate.
Included: the return cable car, the funicular inside the complex, the Golden Bridge, French Village, the gardens, Linh Ung Pagoda, most Fantasy Park rides, and the seasonal shows and festivals. Every visitor also gets a coupon at the entrance, redeemable for two 250ml glasses of the on-site craft beer, a snack, or a French pastry.
Not included, and this is where budgets slip: the Debay Wine Cellar at 100,000 VND, the light museum at 150,000 VND, the alpine coaster at 70,000 VND, the climbing wall at 100,000 VND, plus the 10D cinema and prize games. Food and drink are extra and priced at theme-park level. A Wow Pass for priority queueing is 300,000 VND.
The Change That Matters Most in 2026
One ticket can now cover three consecutive days. You upgrade a standard one-day ticket at the ticket office and register FaceID before your first entry. Some bundled benefits, such as a buffet, still apply only once.
This quietly resolves the oldest complaint about Ba Na Hills. The usual objection is that you pay a full day's admission for thirty minutes on a bridge. With a three-day ticket you can go up early one morning purely for the bridge and the cloud, come down, and return another day for the park itself. You will be disappointed if you expected an empty walkway and a quiet mountain retreat, you are only interested in the bridge itself, you arrive in the late-morning peak expecting the drone photo, or you dislike theme parks and built-up tourist zones.
The visitors who leave happiest treat the whole complex as the attraction. The visitors who leave frustrated paid full admission for one photograph and got strangers in the shot.
